Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSIC) is the main public sector entity engaged in the development and expansion of medium, small, micro and cottage industries in the country under the Ministry of Industries of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. BSCIC was established in 1956 by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the greatest Bengali of all time, the great hero of history, the great architect of independence, the father of the nation, when he was the Minister of Industry and Commerce in the then government.
